Rhodes Vets Staff - Reception Staff
Trudi Bament. Receptionist. Trudi joined the practice in 1986. She originally started training as a veterinary nurse, but now can often be seen in reception at Towcester Road. She has an active role in cat and dog behaviour and frequently attends behaviour specialist courses. Trudi runs the "Walkies" dog training school, which has puppy training and agility classes on a weekly basis. Most of her spare time is spent on dog training and agility with her own dog Zed.
Jo Pocklington. Receptionist. Jo joined in 1990 after working at another local practice. She now works part-time since having her two boys. Jo can be found at the Towcester Road surgery in the mornings, and then back at the Kingsthorpe surgery to give a helping hand to the vets and fellow receptionists and nurses. She lives on a farm and enjoys all outdoor activities, including running around the fields with her dog Mac to keep fit for sponsored runs. She also enjoys Pilates, Zumba, scuba diving and skiing.
Lisa Evans. Receptionist. Lisa joined the practice in May 2007 and is based at Kingsthorpe. She has become the proud owner of some waifs and strays from the surgery. In addition to her Whippet, Lurcher and 2 cats who she adores, she often takes home any wildlife that gets brought into the surgery!
Caroline Beaven. Receptionist. Caroline joined the practice in October 2007. After working as a nursing assistant for a year she then went on to join the reception team. She has currently completed the Veterinary Care Assistant course and passed her Level 2 Key Skills Maths! Two qualifications she is very proud of. Caroline enjoys the client interaction on reception and has also completed her training as a Pet Plan insurance advisor. Outside of work Caroline is kept busy with her crazy cats Millie and Milo and enjoys a good book.
Kelly Page. Receptionist. Kelly joined the practice in November 2010. Kelly used to be a trainee nurse and has completed her first year of training. She then went on to try another career for a few years but missed working in the veterinary industry, so snapped up the opportunity to work as our new receptionist. Outside of work Kelly enjoys walking her two Jack Russell's and enjoys outdoor activities.
Anita Markham. Practice & Finance Administrator. Anita joined the practice in February 2004 and is our Practice and Finance Administrator and can usually be found in the office under a mountain of paperwork! Anita is responsible for completing Pet Insurance claim forms on our clients' behalf. When not in the office you will see her helping on reception.
Mary Leeming. Receptionist. Mary joined the practice in September 2010 and is one of our part time receptionists at our Far Cotton surgery. Having been a teacher for many years she is managing to dispell the belief you shouldn't work with animals or children. Mary enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, Scout her collie and the mischevious Chihuahua Monty.
